HUMANTAY LAGOON FULL DAY

DEPARTURE: 4:00 AM – 4:30 AM

With this program we will visit one of the new attractions of Cusco, “Humantay Lagoon”. Our experience will start in Cusco, between 4-4:30am we will pick you up from your hotel, we will have a 2-hour journey towards the town of Mollepata, situated in the exuberant valley of Apurimac river; here we will enjoy breakfast and we will be able to buy some snacks for the road. After breakfast, we will continue the journey to Soraypampa, where we will have a short rest, so we can recharge our energy and start the walk to Humantay Lagoon, situated at 4200 masl. During the trip, you will see surprising landscapes, like the flora and fauna, but most of all the snowy peaks on the route.
From Soraypampa, the walk will last around 2 hours, until we reach Humantay Lagoon; upon reaching, we can appreciate on one side the imposing snowy peak of Salkantay and on the other side the Humantay Lagoon of turqouise color; after our visit we have to return to Soraypampa, where our transport will be waiting to transfer us to Mollepata, where we will enjoy lunch. Then, we will return to Cusco, our last stop will be near Plaza de Armas.
