RAINBOW MOUNTAIN FULL DAY

ITINERARY

DEPARTURE: 4:30 AM – 5:00 AM

ROUT: CUSCO – CUSIPATA – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – CUSIPATA – CUSCO.

Our program for Rainbow Mountain starts in Cusco, between 4:30am-5am we will come to pick you up from the hotel. We will leave towards the south of the city, we will pass through Urcos district, until we reach Cusipata; the travel time up to here is around 1 and a half hour. At this point we will enjoy a nutritious breakfast which will last around 40 minutes. After a short briefing, we will continue the journey on our bus with the direction being the first point of the walk, the community of “Fula Wasi Pata”; this journey will last around 1 hour and a half. Finally, we will start our adventure at the foot of the snowy mountain Ausangate, the walk will last around 1 hour and a half and takes us through beautiful landscapes, until we reach the highest point of our journey. During our trip, we will have the opportunity to see a distinct variety of South American camels, as well as flora of the place; reaching the top, we can appreciate the beautiful “Seven Colors Mountain”, we will have time to take photos of this enigmatic place, where we will stay around 40 minutes. After the visit we will start our descent walk of about 1 hour until we reach once again the starting point; here, our bus will be waiting for us to transfer us to the restaurant in Cusipata, where the delicious lunch will be waiting for us. In the afternoon we will reach the city of Cusco around 4:00pm in the afternoon.
